The Friends of the Rylander Theatre are proud to announce the first concert in the Centennial Celebration Series.

Barron Ryan was recently named “One of Ten Innovators to Watch in 2021” by Smithsonian Magazine. A native of Tulsa, OK, Barron’s piano playing style is described as classic meets cool. “I wanted to show audiences that all styles can get along...so I used the influence of artists like James Brown, Elton John, and Sam Cooke to write classical music. It should feel familiar to modern listeners while including delightful surprises along the way.” Rylander Director, Heather Stanley, is optimistic that many patrons will feel comfortable returning to the theatre for a live performance. “We are, of course, going to do everything in our power to ensure a safe return for our patrons, our staff, and our visiting artists. I can’t think of a more perfect post-quarantine event than a fun, intimate evening of jazz, classical, and contemporary music played by an incredibly charming musician wearing super fun socks.”

In accordance with the Executive Orders put forth by the Governor of Georgia, the Rylander Theatre will be at a limited capacity. There will only be 150 tickets for sale to this event. Seating will be socially distanced “pod style” and patrons will be expected to follow CDC recommendations on wearing a mask and remaining socially distanced throughout the theatre including lobbies and restrooms. Tickets are $20 plus tax and no Friends of the Rylander Theatre membership benefits apply at this time. All tickets must be purchased by calling the Box Office directly at 229-931-0001, Tuesday-Friday, 11am-4pm. Online ticket sales are not available so that we may accurately maintain socially distant seating.
